KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Post Office is reporting that most Post Office retail counters in Kalamazoo will close earlier than usual on Friday, July 3^rd, to enable retail employees to spend more time with their families.

The last collection for mail deposited in blue collection boxes at those offices will be at noon, unless the regularly scheduled time already prior to noon.

There will be regular Friday mail delivery for all customers on July 3^rd.

The Parchment branch at 839 Commerce Lane and the Oshtemo Branch at 6360 Stadium Drive will maintain normal hours on July 3^rd.

All Post Office retail counters will be closed on July 4^th and there will be no mail delivery. Regular hours and delivery will resume Monday, July 6^th.
