GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Grand Rapids man is conjuring up a new attempt to get his Harry Potter encyclopedia on shelves.

News reports say Steven Vander Ark's publisher plans to appeal a court ruling.

Earlier this year a judge ruled the Harry Potter Lexicon violated author J.K. Rowling's copyright.

Vander Ark's publisher says the book is a reference material that will supplement the Harry Potter series, not take away from it.
