Professors and students helping those injured in war
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Professors and students at Calvin College are reaching out to the victims of the war on terror.
Bombs have killed or injured dozens of kids in Iraq.
A group at Calvin called Healing Children of Conflict wants to raise awareness and money to help out.
Thursday there's a benefit to bring a little girl to the United States for medical treatment.
Salee was nine years old back in 2006 when a missile from a U.S. air strike landed where she was playing and blew off her legs.
Both her brother and best friend died and her sister also lost her foot.
Now Salee needs prosthetics.
You can help by donating at a fundraiser Thursday night at 29th Street Hall in Grand Rapids.
