GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Job cuts are on the way in Grand Rapids Public Schools.
News reports say the board of education approved a spending plan that cuts deep into the district's reserves.
It slashes nearly $9 million across the board and leaves only $125,000 in the rainy day fund.
The plan also eliminates 95 teachers.
Board members say it was a difficult, but necessary decision.
