5 recovering after serious crash

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Five people are recovering from a serious crash in St. Joseph County.

 

State troopers say that Sunday afternoon a driver ran a stop sign on Fawn River Road near Sturgis and was hit by an SUV.

 

Crews had to cut the driver out of the car and fly her to Borgess in Kalamazoo. She's in serious condition.

 

Three other people in her car went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 

The driver of the SUV was also hurt, but is expected to recover.
