Stolen Vehicle Found Still Running, No Suspect in Sight

DECATUR, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Decatur woman left her car running and someone stole it.

 

The Van Buren County Sheriff's Department says it happened around 6a.m. Saturday on the 300 block of South Paw Paw Street.

 

Another police agency located the stolen vehicle a few hours later on the side of the 61000 block of Red Arrow highway. The 2003 Jeep Liberty was still running. It had suffered damage to the front fender and windshield.

 

A bicycle was also found near the stolen vehicle. Deputies feel it maybe associated with the person who stole the Jeep.
