School participating in Farm To School initiative

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Schools are supporting a healthy Michigan economy by serving up healthy meals for students.
Monday the Lakeview School District kicks off its participation in the Farm To School initiative.
Local and state leaders will be at Lakeview Middle School to hand out fresh Michigan apples.
In the Farm To School Program school districts support Michigan's economy by buying fresh produce from local farmers.
