Teen causes serious rollover crash

NEAR ROCKFORD, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - State police say a teen driver caused a serious rollover crash in Kent County.

 

It happened just before 7:00 Thursday night east of Rockford.

 

Troopers say a 16-year-old from Cedar Springs blew through a stop sign on Wabasis Road at M-57.

 

An SUV T-boned his van. Both vehicles ended up rolling into a ditch.

 

Crews airlifted the driver of the SUV, Donald Steffee, to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital.

 

The teen driver only suffered minor injuries.
