Man who stole police car to be sentenced
KENT COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A Kent County man who pulled a Houdini act in the back of a police car will learn his sentence Tuesday.
Officers arrested Ralph Czuczko back in February at a Motel 6 in Walker.
They left him handcuffed in the back of a patrol car while they went back in to investigate.
Police say he somehow got out of those cuffs and into the front seat before driving off. He nearly hit two officers when he did.
They chased him five miles before eventually catching up and arresting him.
Czuczko faced several charges and a jury convicted him of resisting and obstructing.
He'll be sentenced for that Tuesday afternoon.
