Traffic stop yields two active meth labs in car
UNION CITY, Mich. (NEWSHANNEL 3) – Police in Union City say a traffic stop led to the discovery of two active meth cooks.
Officers say they stopped a 51-year-old female from Tekonsha because of a loud exhaust on Monday, but before officers could exit their vehicle, the female approached and admitted to having two active meth labs in her vehicle.
Police say the female was arrested on unrelated charges, but that charges related to the meth cooks are pending.
The Branch County Meth Responder Team and the Union City Fire Department both responded to the scene to assist in cleaning up the active meth cooks.
