HICKORY CORNERS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A 12-year-old boy has died after being struck by a car.

Andrew Callighan was riding his bike in Hickory Corners Thursday night when he was struck by a vehicle.

Officials say the accident occurred near the intersection of West Hickory Road and Brooklodge Road in Hickory Corners.

Callighan later died from his injuries.

A memorial fund has been set up to help Callighan's family pay for funeral expenses.

Donations can be made to that fund at First Community Credit Union in the name of Andrew Callighan.

A viewing will be held at Langland Funeral Home on King Highway in Comstock on Thursday from 6-8 pm.

Callighan's funeral will be held at Langland Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 am.
