STURGIS, Mich. (AP) - Penguin LLC and its sister company Iceberg Enterprises say they plan to cut about 150 of 250 jobs at a manufacturing facility in Sturgis and a warehouse in Howe, Ind. in May.
The Sturgis Journal reports Saturday that employees in Sturgis were told this week of the planned cuts, which stem from the economic downturn and a contract with a major customer that wasn't renewed.
Penguin's Web site says its services include blow molding, injection molding, metal fabrication and powder coating, while Iceberg Enterprises markets products to office product distributors.
