Kalamazoo kids call attention to health care coverage
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - More than 46 million Americans do not have health insurance.
About nine million of those are children.
Monday, students from the Freedom School in Kalamazoo will join kids across the country to call attention to the problem.
It's part of the Children's Defense Fund Day of Social Action.
Mayor Bobby Hopewell will lead a gathering of students Monday morning at Bronson Park, congratulating the kids on their efforts. Then the kids will use music and displays to bring awareness to children's rights issues.
