Two arrested for trying to cash phony checks at Walmart

STURGIS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Police in Sturgis say they caught two Indiana women trying to cash phony checks at Walmart on Sunday.
Walmart security called police after they say the two women were trying to cash a counterfeit check using fake IDs.
Police say they found more phony payroll checks in the women's car, and investigators believe they may be linked to a bigger counterfeit ring operating in Michigan and Indiana.
