Teacher arrested on criminal sexual conduct charges

WHITEHALL, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Investigators with the Michigan State Police have arrested a teacher from the Whitehall School District in Muskegon County.

Police began an investigation after hearing about inappropriate actions on the part of the teacher. The incident with a student took place off school grounds and dates from some time ago.

The teacher has been placed on administrative leave while police gather information. The teacher was arrested Wednesday and was lodged in the Muskegon County Jail.

The school is conducting their own investigation into the matter.
