During his time there, Tim worked as a data analyst for the National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting (NICAR). WMAQ-TV in Chicago and KIRO-TV in Seattle used his analysis for their investigative stories.

Tim became an uncle in 2007 - his niece was born in January. He enjoys playing golf, exercising, reading nonfiction and watching TV. His favorite show is "60 Minutes."
