Stolen truck crashed into tree

NEAR MATTAWAN, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Van Buren County deputies are looking for the man who stole a pick-up truck and crashed it into a tree.

 

It happened Tuesday morning on County Road 652 near Mattawan.

 

A homeowner says he left his truck unlocked in his driveway with the keys in the ignition and someone stole it.

 

Witnesses say they saw a white man run from the truck after it crashed.

 

He's described as mid-to-late 20's with a bigger build and short hair.

 

Deputies are asking anyone with more information to call the sheriff's department.
