Three injured in Walker accident

WALKER, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Three people are being treated for injuries after two cars collided on Remembrance Rd. in Walker.

 

It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Friday in the intersection of Remembrance Rd. and 3 Mile Rd. NW.

 

Police say that an 84-year-old Allendale resident was driving their Chevy Impala west on 3 Mile, when they failed to yield to a Mercury Grand Marquis driven by a 44-year-old Coopersville resident, headed southeast on Remembrance.

 

The Impala slammed into the driver's side of the Grand Marquis, and both drivers and a passenger in the Grand Marquis were pinned in their cars.

 

Police say that none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening.

 

Walker Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
