Water main break leads to water shut off

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Officials in Battle Creek will be shutting off the water on Thursday in order to replace a water valve located in the area of Capital Avenue NE.

Officials say the water will be off for approximately 16 hours, from 12:00 pm until 4:00 am March 12th, but stress that is only an estimate.

The following streets are expected to be affected;

Capital Avenue NE from Orchard to East Avenue
Broad Street from Capital NE to Sherman
Maple Terrace from Capital NE to Radley

Officials also say there will be lane closures on Capital Avenue NE from Orchard to East Avenue.
