GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A celebration of worldwide proportions kicks off in West Michigan Friday for the first time.

Organizers were setting up in Grand Rapids Thursday for the International Wine and Food Festival.

More than 100 wineries from all over the world, including Michigan, will offer up samples of their wines.

West Michigan is quite a draw. "It's not the Grand Rapids of 30 years ago. We've gotten to be quite the eclectic spot here. And once we got the word out, it wasn't too hard to get people to come in," said Henri Boucher, the show's producer.

You can also check out local breweries and all kinds of food from area restaurants.

Head to the DeVos Place starting at 2:00 Friday. The show runs through Sunday night.
