NEAR WAYLAND, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An Allegan County woman is in the hospital Friday morning after a serious crash on the highway.

Deputies found Mary Beth Smith trapped in her car Thursday night off US-131 near Wayland.

Witnesses say she was driving erratically when she side-swiped a tour bus and lost control.

Her car went off the road, flipped and crashed into a tree.

She was pinned in and couldn't breathe when deputies found her.

They freed her and sent her to the hospital where she's in critical condition.
