Hit and Run Accident Injures Pregnant Women

 

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A pregnant woman was taken to the hospital after a hit and run accident.

 

Kalamazoo Public Safety says it happened around 2a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Lovell and Oakland.

 

A black Honda Accord ran a red light at the intersection and hit a Pontiac Grand Am traveling southbound on Oakland.

 

Police says the suspect kept on driving. The driver of the Grand Am is five months pregnant and had to be pried out of her vehicle. The extent of her or her unborn child's injuries are unknown.

 

Kalamazoo Public Safety is still looking for a white male or female who was driving the black Honda Accord which will have extensive front end damage.
