Updated: Saturday, April 26, 2014
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Are you brave enough to conquer the world's tallest water slide?

It's about to open in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Verruckt--which literally means "insane" in German--is a steep 170-foot slide.

To put it in perspective, that's taller than Niagra Falls.

Thrill seekers are expected to hit an average speed of 65 miles per hour on the way down.

The slide will open this spring at Schlitterbahn Kansas City Water Park.
