DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service in northern Indiana issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for St. Joe and Branch counties until 10 AM.  Dense fog has already been observed in many cities in West Michigan including Kalamazoo.  The ADVISORY may be expanded to include more counties.  Burning off fog this time of year is tough thanks to a low sun angle.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.

SPCA runs 'back in black' month

Updated: Saturday, November 9, 2013
SPCA runs
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - When it comes to pets, November is 'Back in Black' month.

It's a national campaign to raise awareness for pets who have dark colored fur.

Animals come in all different colors, but black pets usually have to wait longer periods of time to get adopted.

This month, the SPCA is lowering the adoption fees of animals with mostly black coats.

Right now, they have about 10 darkly colored dogs and 15 cats.

If you would like to add a new furry friend to your family, call the SPCA at (269)344-1474.
