Black Enterprise names Ann Arbor among 7 best places to retire
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - An African American business magazine says Ann Arbor is a great place to retire.
Black Enterprise says the University of Michigan campus town is one of the seven best places in America for retirees.
The magazine rated cities based on quality of life, affordable health care and other considerations.
The other top locations are Durham, North Carolina; Charlottesville, Virginia; Nashville, Tennessee; Lexington, Kentucky; Roswell, Georgia; and Columbia, Missouri.
The rankings gave places 40 percent of the total score for quality of life, 20 percent for health care, and 15 percent each for taxes and leisure.
Climate and culture got 5 percent each.
