Trip to Cedar Point ends after student eats pot brownie

DETROIT (AP) - A West Bloomfield High School trip to Cedar Point was cut short when one of the 200 students became ill after eating a marijuana-laced brownie.

District spokeswoman Joey Spano said today the boy admitted to eating the pot brownie after being taken to a medical facility at the Ohio amusement park.

Cedar Point officials contacted a school representative as well as the park authorities. They wrote a report, but park spokesman Robin Innes says no criminal charges have been filed.

Administrators believe there only a few students involved but decided it was best to bring everyone home early yesterday.
