Two Car Collision Leaves 1 Dead and Four in Hospital

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A serious two car accident has occurred on VW Avenue and 18^thStreet, half-way between Vicksburg and Schoolcraft.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department says Lucretia Elizabeth Meeth, 44, of Portage was traveling westbound on VW Avenue when she crossed the center line and struck an oncoming vehicle head on. She was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after.

It happened around 10:50 Friday evening at a four-way intersection.

The Sheriff's Department says all four people in the other vehicle were injured. Two are in the hospital and listed in critical condition. 

At this time none of the victims names are being released.
