A stolen SUV and a 2 county chase
Comments 0 | Recommend 0CALHOUN/JACKSON COUNTIES (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Kalamazoo man will face charges for leading police on a high-speed chase through two counties.
State troopers first tried to stop the guy on I-94 in Calhoun County for a traffic violation, but he took off.
Troopers say he hit speeds of 80 miles an hour trying to get away.
During the pursuit they also figured out the man was driving a stolen SUV.
Troopers eventually threw down stop-sticks.
The driver lost control, crashing near US-127 in Jackson County.
Troopers say the man then jumped out and tried to make a run for it.
They caught him and arrested him.
He's now facing a number of charges for the chase and driving the stolen SUV.
