Cleaning up the watershed

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Water quality takes center stage in Van Buren County Monday.

 

Leaders from Southwest Michigan First want to work out plans to keep the Paw Paw River Watershed clean and safe for drinking, fishing and swimming.

 

They're hosting an open house in Lawrence.

 

You can check out maps of the areas dealing with pollution problems along with places targeted for water quality protection at the open house.

 

The group also wants to hear your suggestions about ways to clean up the watershed.

 

The open house runs from 4:00 to 7:30 Monday night at the Van Buren Conference Center.
