NEAR LAKEVIEW, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We're learning new details about a deadly shooting in Montcalm County.

Deputies say early Monday morning Robert Stevens and his son Zachary broke into a home near Lakeview by taking an air conditioner out of a window.

Robert's ex-girlfriend lived at the home and witnesses say he started threatening her.

Investigators say one of the woman's friends then shot both men, killing the son and wounding the father.

So far no charges have been filed.
