Cirque du Soleil to cut back work force

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - As they say, 'the show must go on.'
But for Cirque du Soleil, it will have to happen with a smaller workforce.
According to the Toronto Star, the entertainment troupe just announced that it is laying off 400 people, most of them at its Montreal headquarters.
Increased production costs and expenses are being blamed for the layoffs, which will begin at the end of the month.
