Hostess accepts $410M bid for snack cake division

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Good news for Twinkie lovers--the spongy cream-filled snack could be back on shelves soon.
A joint offer from Metropoulos and Company and Apollo Global Management was picked by Hostess to buy their snack cake division for $410 million.
The CEO of Metropolos and Company released a statement saying they'll have "America's favorite snacks back on the shelf by this summer."
More than 18,000 people were laid off when Hostess stopped production.
That includes about 60 workers in Wyoming, Kalamazoo, and Comstock Park.
