Kashi announcing move to Battle Creek

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Kashi is changing zip codes, announcing that it will pack up its California-based operations and move to Battle Creek.
The company was founded in the early 80s, and was purchased by Kellogg in 2001 for $33 million.
Kellogg believes the move will better position Kashi employees for future growth.
14 La Jolla-based employees were laid off, and another 14 were offered the option to move to Michigan.
