Report: Zuckerberg donated $500M to charity

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Mark Zuckerberg is one of the richest people in America, and the Facebook founder is also one of the most generous.
The Chronicle of Philanthropy says that Zuckerberg and his wife gave roughly $500 million to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation last year.
The organization makes grants to several community groups in the San Francisco area.
That, and other donations, made him the second biggest charitable donor last year, behind Warren Buffet.
In 2010, Zuckerberg pledged $100 million to the public school district in Newark, New Jersey.
