Post election fallout

Updated: Tuesday, November 13 2012, 12:44 PM EST
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - People in several states, including Michigan, are so upset about the outcome of last week's election they're trying to secede from the United States of America.

Louisiana was the first of 22 states to launch petitions to secede and so far Texas is the state to draw the most signatures with more than 25,000.

Many are using a website called "We the People" that allows people to make their voices heard by launching a petition drive. Ironically, that website was created by the Obama administration.

In Arizona a woman is under arrest for what can only be described as a fit of election rage.

Holly Solomon is facing a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Witnesses say she ran her husband down with her car in a shopping center parking lot.

Apparently she blames President Obama for some of her personal problems and when she found out the president won the election she was extremely angry that her husband did not vote.

Her husband suffered some serious internal injuries, but he is recovering.
