President sees uptick in polls after most expensive election ever

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - President Obama is seeing an uptick in polls this week.

A new AP poll shows his post-election approval rating at 57 percent.

Meantime, we're learning just how much that election cost. According to campaign finance filings the 2012 presidential race has surpassed $2 billion, setting a new record.
