DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Effective Until 11 AM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY until 11 AM for nearly every county in West Michigan save for Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties.  Recent, heavy rainfall, and light winds are the perfect combination for fog production.  Visibilities may be as low as 1/4 mile or lower; that's enough to drastically change how you drive.  Please keep it safe this morning and travel slower, if you have to.  Additional stopping distance isn't a bad idea either.  Stay with wwmt.com for the latest weather updates!

Checking back in for Medicaid vote at Capitol story image
LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - At just around 5:30 p.m., the Michigan State Senate voted 19-18 in favor of the Medicaid expansion, but the bill failed as 20 votes were required for passage.

Shortly thereafter, the Senate went into recess, and the parties began caucusing at just before 7:00 p.m.

As we prepare for a new vote that could come later this evening, Newschannel 3's Andy Dominianni joined us from the Capitol to break down what the Medicaid expansion and Affordable Care Act could mean for you.
