WIND ADVISORY

10 AM Until 2 AM Saturday

The National Weather Service maintains a WIND ADVISORY for nearly all of West Michigan from 10 AM this morning until 2 AM Saturday morning.  45 mph gusts are likely inland while 50 mph gusts are possible at the Lake Shore.  This kind of wind is capable of bringing down tree branches and creating some power outages.  Obviously, we hope that doesn't happen.  Winds blow from the northwest this morning then from the north by midday and beyond.  Stay with wwmt.com for your weather today and always!

Lawmakers in DC grill Medicare story image
WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - For the first time Tuesday, lawmakers have a chance to question a member of the Obama administration about what went wrong with the healthcare.gov website.

Millions of Americans have shown an interest in checking out the new options, but it appears that few have been able to get through the online application process.

Marilyn Tavernner heads Medicare and Medicaid Services, the agency in charge of the troubled website.

On Tuesday, she issued an apology to those unable to sign up, while testifying before a House committee.

"We know how desperately you need affordable coverage," she said. "I want to ensure you that healthcare.gov can and will be
fixed, and we are working around the clock to deliver the shopping experience that you deserve," Tavernner said.

On Wednesday, a congressional committee will grill Tavernner's boss, the Health and Human Services chief.
