DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

Study finds success in bringing organ donors to docs

Updated: Tuesday, February 25, 2014 |
MIDWEST (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An experiment in the Midwest suggests bringing organ donors to the doctors is better than the other way around.

A study out Tuesday on liver transplants finds the method saves money.  It also finds that the livers spend less time outside the donor's body, which in theory, improves the odds of success.

Transplant experts say this could become the new standard.
