WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The FDA is recalling an antibiotic used in hospitals.

Apparently, inspectors found floating particles like metal, cotton fibers and hair in several vials of the drug.

If injected into a patient it could result in forming blood clots that cause stroke or even a heart attack.

The medicine was made by B. Braun Medical and revolves around one specific lot of the antibiotic Cefepime and Dextrose.

Patients experiencing health problems should contact their physician
