(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Wednesday marks National Walking Day, and the American Heart Association wants Americans to lace up their shoes and get outside.

It says that half of men and a third of women are at risk for heart disease and being physically inactive doubles the risk of heart disease.

The AHA wants adults to walk today for at least 30 minutes.
