DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Effective Until 11 AM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY until 11 AM for nearly every county in West Michigan save for Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties.  Recent, heavy rainfall, and light winds are the perfect combination for fog production.  Visibilities may be as low as 1/4 mile or lower; that's enough to drastically change how you drive.  Please keep it safe this morning and travel slower, if you have to.  Additional stopping distance isn't a bad idea either.  Stay with wwmt.com for the latest weather updates!

PORTAGE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A big blood drive is being held Wednesday at the Air Zoo in Portage to help alleviate a shortage.

The drive is being held by the American Red Cross and runs from 10:15 to 4:00.

To donate you must be 17-years-old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and have a photo ID or donor card.

According to the American Red Cross, every two-seconds someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion.

Just one donation of a pint of blood can save up to three lives.
