Bronson surgeon talks about Angelina Jolie double mastectomy story image
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It's the story we've been talking about all day.

After learning she was positive for a hereditary gene, Angelina Jolie made the controversial decision to have both of her breasts removed to lower her risk of developing breast cancer--a decision she says she made for her six children.

We sat down with a breast surgeon at Bronson Hospital on Tuesday, to find out more about what might factor into this type of decision.

The story has stirred a lot of conversation, as doctors say what you want to know first is if you're at risk.

Even if you are, though, genetic testing isn't for everyone.

Newschannel 3's Lourin Sprenger has more on the story with a Bronson breast surgeon.
