Fungal meningitis infections increase in state

MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The number of meningitis infections continues to grow here in Michigan.
The Department of Community Health says there are seven new infections linked to contaminated steroids from a Massachusetts pharmaceutical company.
There are now 256 people who have been infected with fungal meningitis in Michigan.
The steroids were used in injections to treat neck and back pain.
At least 16-people have died here in Michigan.
