The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Many reports of dense fog already exist, and your visibility may become worse before noticeable improvements.  Recent rainfall, high moisture levels, especially near the ground, and light winds all combine to create fog.  Slowing down and increasing your stopping distance are a few ways to increase your safety while driving.

Great American Smokeout Thursday story image
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It's a great day to quit smoking. That's because Thursday is the Great American Smokeout.

The American Cancer Society is celebrating 100 years in the fight to end cancer.

They are encouraging people to make Thursday the day they choose to quit smoking.

Tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the U.S.

Michigan has a Tobacco Quitline, a free service offering coaches. And callers without insurance may qualify for free nicotine patches. That number is 1-800-QUIT-NOW.
