The National Weather Service has issued a FROST ADVISORY for the following counties in West Michigan, effective Saturday morning through 8 o'clock: Kent, Ionia, Montcalm, Mecosta, Newaygo, and Oceana. Precautions should be taken to protect tender vegetation in the Advisory area. Cold air overnight Friday-Saturday could lead to scattered areas of frost. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A health warning is being issued for parents of infants.

If you don't vaccinate your toddlers on time, they may be at extreme risk of developing measles or whooping cough, both of which are on the rise in Michigan.

As part of Infant Immunization Week, you're reminded that vaccinations help protect against 14 serious and potentially deadly diseases before a child's second birthday.

Last year, Michigan had five recorded measles cases--the most since 1999.

Nearly 1,000 cases of whooping cough were recorded statewide.
