New anti-obesity drug hits the market story image
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A new anti-obesity drug is hitting the market Tuesday.

It's called Belviq and is only available with a prescription.

Patients who are overweight with at least one weight-related medical condition, like high cholesterol, are eligible.

Belviq was actually developed more than a decade ago, but it was only recently approved by the FDA.
