Pain meds could be doing more harm than good

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Pain medicine could be doing more harm than good when it comes to headaches.
British health experts say patients who take over the counter painkillers up to 15 days a month--including aspirin and ibuprofen--could be actually causing their own headaches.
It's estimated that this affects one in fifty people, and women are five times more likely to suffer than men.
The condition is called 'medication overuse headache.'
The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence is now urging doctors to take a closer look at the problem.
