COLUMBUS, Ohio (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - For the first time ever, a paralyzed Ohio man can now move his hands with his thoughts.

Ian Burkhart was paralyzed from the chest down after a swimming accident four years ago.

But after having a chip implanted in his brain two months ago, he can now move his paralyzed hand.

Burkhart has become the first patient in medical trial to use neurobridge technology--created by Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and engineers from Battelle.
