(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - How you stay hydrated could be giving you headaches.

Researchers in the U.K. say they chemical in plastic containers called bisphenol A, also known as BPA, could be giving people extreme headaches.

In their study, researchers exposed rats to the chemical by drinking water out of plastic containers.

Those rats became less active, avoided loud noises, and bright light.

Ultimately, researchers say, those who suffer from migranes or continuous headaches should cut out plastic containers when drinking or eating.
